Highlights include his work with Ritchie Blackmore as singer of the rock legends Rainbow ("I Surrender" and "Stone Cold") and Deep Purple ("Slaves And Masters" with the hit single "King of Dreams").

Following his time with these groups, Turner refined the albums of projects like Mother's Army, Brazen Abbot, Big Noise, Sunstorm, Over The Rainbow and Rated X.
